Welcome to the Mattawan Business Association 2026 calendar year!

 

Our goal is to unite the members of the Mattawan business community and the citizens of Mattawan, to promote a greater sense of business and social unity. We cannot do this without you!

​

We are so excited to have you as a new or returning member and look forward to finding ways to help support your business and our community together. The MBA has an open, rolling enrollment. This means that we have new members joining during each month throughout the year. While we would love for you to join us immediately, we also welcome you anytime you decide that joining is right for you.

 

During a normal year, the MBA participates in and hosts a multitude of events. During each event, we look for ways to include our members either through direct participation (volunteering, hosting a table, etc.) or through donations. We will include information
about your business so the Mattawan Community can also get to know you! This years events will consist of:

 

Annual Events

  • Member Appreciation Networking Event- January 22nd, 5 - 7 pm @ Lawton Ridge Winery

  • Speed Networking Night February 11th from 5 - 7 pm @ Chelsea Skin Collective

  • MBA Meet-up @ Murray Street March 19th from 5 - 7 PM

  • Egg Hunt & Carnival - April 11th, Carnival 10 AM - 1 PM, Egg hunt & activities 12 - 1 PM @ Antwerp Township Activity Center

  • Memorial Day Parade - May 25th 10 AM

  • Concert in the Park - July 23 6 - 8 PM

  • Supplies for Success with Mattawan PD - July/August

  • MBA Meet-up @ Murray Street August 13th from 5 - 7 PM

  • Fall Kickoff member gathering - September 17th 5 - 7 PM @ Dragonfly Gardens

  • Mattawan Days & Homecoming Parade - Date TBD (usually end of Sept/beginning of Oct)

  • Pumpkin Fest - October 10th, 11 AM - 1 PM @ Antwerp Township Activity Center

  • Holiday food drive with Mattawan PD - November

  • Seasons of Sharing with Mattawan PD - December

  • Holiday Event collaboration with the Lions Club - December TBD @ Antwerp Township Activity Center

  • Holiday Market and annual tree lighting - December 5th from 4 - 6 PM (market & Santa), 5:45 PM tree lighting in the Village park

 

On-Going Events:

  • Coffee and Conversation Networking Clubs - 3rd Wed of the Month 8 - 9 AM see Facebook events for locations

  • Feeding America! Hosted Charles River, and in partnership with the Antwerp Township/Mattawan Lions Club - various dates 

  • Ribbon Cutting/Welcome Ceremonies for new businesses

When event planning begins, we will be reaching out via email to the primary contacts at each business, as listed on your application, to determine availability of your team to participate in the event. There are no requirements of participation for the events, so please feel free to make the decisions that are right for your business and your team. In addition to events, we also contribute to many different organizations throughout the year with monetary sponsorships! We are always here for your business events as well,
whether it is sharing event details through email, social media, or postings in the brick and mortar of our members. It is always a pleasure to help however we can. The Mattawan Business Association board is comprised of four officers and five
directors:

Board meetings are open to all members for participation. Meetings are held monthly from 11:30 - 12:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month at Village Workspace (24208 Front Ave Suite A, Mattawan, MI 49071).
